Old Business:
STARS:    STARS 2009 was a huge success.  Final numbers are still being tallied, but they should be good.  Not the best we have done, but not the worst either.  Thank you to all the members who worked the event, donated items, and just enjoyed all the phun.   Efforts have already begun for STARS 2010.  The event will be open to the four sponsoring clubs before it is open to the public.  DO NOT HESITATE!  This event sells out pretty quick, so as soon as we get the go ahead to register, you need to get those checks and forms in the mail.
A Stars DVD will be available in about 6 weeks.
New Business:
Cycling the Coast for a Cure:  Kaiser Realty has asked us to help out with this event for the second year.  This event is a 21-mile bike ride through Orange Beach.  It will be held on Saturday, March 28.  We have been asked to man the two water stations.  So put on your feathers and beads and come out to Tacky Jack’s in Orange Beach around 8:00 AM.   Ridge Martin has agreed to ride and the Lower Alabama Parrot Heads will sponsor him for $100 donation to the American Cancer Society.  This is an easy event to help with; we should be finished by noon.  As an added bonus, our own Colleen and Bill will provide the entertainment.
Boat Trip:  Last year we had a day trip with Capt. Bill that everybody enjoyed.  Capt. Bill now has a new 50-foot Catamaran.  Jenny Curtis and Jackie Grear will investigate how receptive Capt. Bill is to another day trip.  It will be on a Sunday since that is his day off and we do not want to interfere with his Dolphin Cruise Business.  More information on this event will be forth coming.
Living vicariously through club members:  Sharon and Larry Ramirez are on the Parrot Head cruise out of Florida (so is our club banner).  Allan Lameier and Pam Daniel will be attending the Atlanta concert.  Frankie and Lola (Dave and Debbie Curran) and Ken and Liz White will be attending a concert in Virginia.  Let us know how phun it was or will be.
Website
The Web Dude, Cy Myers, has created a “members only” section on the website.  To get a password, please contact Cy at
myers.cy@gmail.com.  And keep checking on the website, he has some great stuff.  Question, who is the “naked snow swimmer”?

Fruitcake Basket
Tyler Dahlgren won the Fruitcake Basket, which was generously donated by Debbie Danzer.  In addition, various members won six more mystery t-shirt bags.
The next meeting is scheduled for Saturday, April 11th at LuLu’s at 11:15AM.  See ya there!!!!

After meeting announcement:
Another “Slasher Party” is scheduled for Wednesday, March 25, at 11 AM at Mary Ann Lee’s house.  No, this not a seminar on “How to Get Rid of Unwelcome People”, but how to slash a t-shirt.  Bring a t-shirt and a sharp pair of scissors.

Partying with a purpose in our little part of paradise
